Summit for Women and Children's Health

Hike the Highest Peak in Africa and Help Save the Life of a
Mother and Child!

Ever hiked the highest mountain range in Africa? Ever saved the life of a beautiful mother and child? Now you have the opportunity to do these very things for the women and children living in Kisarawe, Tanzania. Situated about 25 miles from the commercial capital of Dar es Salaam, Kisarawe is virtually worlds away from safe health services. In Kisarawe district, most people live on less than one dollar a day, and one in every 16 women dies during childbirth. A woman in Kisarawe is 156 times more likely to die of pregnancy related causes than a woman in the United States.
