Join Circle of Health International (COHI) in celebrating International Women's Day. Today is a day to honor the women of the world demonstrating their courage and conviction in spite of such threats as war, poverty, and violence. COHI works side by side with many such women through our local partners: The bold women of Tibet are working to increase the number of births attended by a trained professional, the committed women of FLEMAFA in Tanzania are addressing HIV/AIDS through outreach to adolescent girls, and the inspirational women of Israel and Palestine are working towards a peaceful coexistence together by assisting one another in developing their professions as midwives.

Countless women around the world live their strength every day in simple yet powerful demonstrations of survival in spite of terrible difficulties.
